Camp 2020

Camp will look different this year, and we want you there! Read below for all the details, and don't forget to register for our virtual camp experience in 2020.

COVID-19 Information

 Dear Heads Up! Hartford family,

We hope you are all safe and well during this time.

Updates

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and precautions, we made the difficult decision not to hold camp in our in-person, overnight format in June. Please know that Heads Up! Hartford is not cancelled, just shifting to a virtual structure.

Our operations team and board of directors have begun the process of shifting to plan virtual sessions for our camp community. We will be working with the Youth Advisory Board to plan activities, and we want your input. Stay tuned for a survey to have your voice counted in the planning of our virtual camp experience.

NEW - Heads Up! Hartford Study Hall!

In the spirit of bringing our community together, we have planned a virtual Heads Up! Hartford study hall. Join us on May 12 at 6:30pm via http://zoom.us/j/94138371034 for study hall, complete with subject-area help from our counselors, space to work independently while together, or socializing.

Should I register?

We want you to be a part of this virtual experience. Please still register for camp  so we can include you in all of our activities. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends to join you at camp, and encourage them to register as well. We are waiving our camp and registration fees, but donations are always welcome and encouraged.

Counselors

Counselor applicants, we will contact you separately about next steps.

Next Steps

Though the format of our camp is shifting this year, we remain dedicated to creating a summer of memories, service, and love with our Heads Up! Hartford family. We will keep reaching out with more information and details. In the meantime, please feel free to contact our camp director, Julie McGarry, at julie.a.mcgarry@gmail.com or 860-212-5859.

Thank You

Stay safe and healthy, Heads Up! Hartford family. We know this is a difficult time for many, and we want to assure you we are earnestly working to keep the HUH spirit, love, and energy alive! Thank you for all you’re doing during this time; we can’t wait to update you with what’s to come!

All our love,

Heads Up! Hartford Operations Team and Board of Directors
